I’m thrilled to have been promoted to Claims Handler, marking my biggest achievement to date and a milestone I’ve worked hard to reach. I’m excited to embrace the opportunities ahead and see what this year has in store for me in my new role with the company!
Coming into this role with no prior experience in Insurance Claims, I faced the challenge of adapting to a new company, mastering unfamiliar systems, and building my insurance knowledge from the ground up. By actively seeking guidance from my manager and colleagues, I demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and embraced every opportunity to grow.
Strong communication skills have been key to my success in this role. Throughout my training and development, I made it a point to ask questions, no matter how small, to ensure I fully understood my responsibilities. My ability to communicate effectively with customers has also been invaluable -especially when managing phone interactions, where I’ve successfully de-escalated tense situations and resolved issues before they could escalate further.
Customer Advisor - First Notification of Loss (FNOL) plays a critical role in the early stages of a claim, ensuring detailed information is captured right after an incident. This comprehensive data collection is essential for supporting claims handlers and engineers, enabling a seamless and efficient claims process. I’m proud to have achieved 100% on file audits and received positive feedback from colleagues and managers, contributing to my team’s success in reaching its goals.
